bad day

ugh.

(post edited)

on a brighter note, i did my long run yesterday and feel fairly good today. minimal diaphragmatic irritation. hills that used to kill me are now an afterthought. could it be that i am actually getting in shape???

Girl, if learning the art of medicine means learning to bend over and take it when you are underminded by an older physician, then I say 'to hell with the art of medicine'.

I struggle with being undermined all the time, by colleagues. My prayer for both of us is that we survive long enough in this business to grow thick skin and confidence in our abilities that will immunize us from the feeling of being undermined.

best,

Flea

p.s., no, you're not getting in shape: what are you, nuts?

Some people are just plain dicks, doctor or not. This guy probably needed a self-image boost, and used you to get it. Don't worry -- he'll probably get hemorrhoids from all the pressure his ego is putting on his ass. ;)

Breathe in....breathe out....this too shall pass. :)
